The awesome Zoo trip

RIIIIINNNNNNGGG” went the bell on a early Thursday morning as the Year 0-6 , teacher’s and Mr Coakley (our Principal) left for the Zoo at 9:00am. We all met in the hall at about 8:55am and at 9am we got on the bus on our way to the Auckland Zoo. It took a while for us to get there, but we finally got there about 9:30am.

First we waited at the gate very exited and ready to go in. The thing that caught my eye was a huge Green Lizard, it was made out of something that I don’t know of, but it was awesome. We split into our groups, us Year 6’s were with Mr Coakley, Mrs Hoggins and Miss Ana.

We walked through the path way and the first real live animal we saw was a Zebra and then a Giraffe. They were HUGE and especially with their long necks, they were awesome. We next moved onto the Rhino's and they were so big, we also saw some Springboks from Africa. We soon passed by 1 or 2 animals and we all crowded around this weird looking place with a HUGE cave and there was torn up material and the tree that had a great big sharp tooth hanging off it, it was really, really weird. This area was as if the African lions are gonna rip us apart.

We went on for AGES, it was finally morning tea time. As we carried on we came to the otter’s and they were sooooooo cute. We saw the Mea cats too. These were my favourite because me and Sanne crawled through all the tunnels and were playing around. Soon it was time to get out, it was awesome and funny because the Mea cats were always staring at us and Sanne was scared. As the trip went on we were all getting sore legs.

We went to the Parrots and it started raining Cats and Dogs we all ran under this weird looking shelter thing. We all went to the classroom and learnt about the animals and what their habitats were.

Sadly it was time to go back to school at 2:30pm.

On our way back to school most of the people were sleeping on the bus it was funny.
This trip was SO awesome and I hope to go again with my family in the future YAY!!!!!!

In Term 3 the most exciting thing that stood out to me was getting my own blog. This tells me that I have been writing a lot, for me to get my own blog (it was really excited). When I post something on my blog like my stories I get comments that help me make my writing better and makes me want to write more and more.

In my holidays Melissa , Emalata , Dorothy , my older sister and I made a plan to go to the movies in the first Thursday of the holidays. On Thursday my mum, my sister and I went over to Dorothy’s house to pick her up for the movies. Emalata had walked to my house (she doesn't live far) and Melissa met us on our way home. After a while my Dad dropped us off outside Pak ’n’ Save to do our shopping.

Me and Dorothy were together and Melissa and Emalata were with my sister. We trained into Sylvia Park and went and saw ‘The Sources Apprentice’. When we got there we just bought popcorn and went in to watch the movie in cinema 4 or 7 then we went home and played.

My goals for this term is to try and boost my writing to where I'm suppose to be. My blog is really helping me with the comments I receive. I also feel proud that my work is on the Internet for the world to see.

Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber

Hello everyone my number #1 singers are Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber. Ever since I was about 7 years old I have loved Michael Jackson and when I saw Justin Bieber on television singing one time I thought he was just awesome.

Michael Jackson
What I love about Michael Jackson is that he doesn't just love his money, this is shown by the way his kids get 30 thousand dollars when they grow up. He loved to impress his fans and was not all about his career. My favourite Michael Jackson songs are ‘Man in the Mirror’ and ‘Smooth Criminal’ I will always love Michael Jackson.

Justin Bieber
I love Justin Bieber because I love his voice and his HAIR. My left wall in my bedroom is absolutely filled with Justin Bieber. He is always humble and does not love his career because of the girls that chase him. My favourite Justin Bieber songs are ‘Up’ and ‘Set A Place At Your Table’. I will always love Justin Bieber .

PS. I’m not obsessed with Justin Bieber

Friday morning and some students were preparing for an nerve racking show!

It was 10:45 sharp as everyone made their way to the hall getting ready for an exciting show. First Mr Coakley (our principal) had introduced our show and that we were having our very first talent show ever.

Our first performance was Angelica, Justice, Simone and Grace with a Hula dance. Our next performance was another Hula from Emelia and Robertanna e.t.c

Then it came up to the 5th performance. They were doing a mix dance and it was very entertaining . I reckon that it was the best out of all because it looked hard to learn in 1 week. Next up was A’leina and Sia performing a beautiful Samoan dance sung by “Nifoloa”.

“Sometimes in our lives..” I heard a lovely voice coming from the center of the stage it was Latai, Rachael and Hifo singing an emotional song ‘Lean on me’. It started off lovely but then it got really emotional for Latai because either she got stage fright or was just feeling emotional as she started to cry.

After that emotional performance I heard Mr Coakley say “Please welcome back up to the stage A’leina and Sia not dancing but singing...”
Clap, Clap, clap I heard coming from the audience.

“That was lovely I said to my classmates...”

“Please welcome Ofa, Kahlanie, Angelica and crew singing ‘Ehu Girl’

To finish off the lovely and entertaining Talent Show was the Year 8 girls singing ‘Draw Me Nearer’ sung by Jireh. My favourite part was the harminising, it sounded beautiful.

Now that was all for our very 1st talent show and it went very smoothly. Keep in touch for our next talent show

WELL DONE EVERYONE!!!!

My I like Poem

I love my cousins Peter who is 21, Aaron who is 24, Leua who is 18, Sam who is 14, Natasha who is 21(twins with Peter) and my uncle Manu who is 18. They are very, very, very protective of me.

I admire my cousin Olalini because she is very healthy and is a very educational person. She is very sporty and a good role model.

I adore Dogs because they are very fun to play with. They are very brainy and in the past I've had 9 Dogs in my life. I will adore Dogs forever.

I am a very big fan of Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber. I wish to see them one day, but sadly Michael Jackson has past away.

Insect Choreography

Hey world this is a little movie clip we shot in our media studies time, it's sort of like a mini year 6's clip. The song is from Twilight and is sung by Muse. We were also learning how to do choreography and it was quite an experience, the instrumental was a little bit weird but it was okay......... I hope you enjoy this film.

Twilight Eclipse

On a Tuesday on the first day on our holidays my sister and I woke up at 6:30 to go to Sylvia Park Hoyt's for an exciting movie. At first I asked my Dad what time we were leaving and he answered "at about 11;00 o'clock".

So my sister and I had a turn each to have a shower before the exciting movie. When we were ready Emalata rang up and asked if we could changed the place where we were going to meet up. Emalata asked if we could meet at the train station and my sister said "okay".

When we arrived at Sylvia Park we saw Emalata with her older and younger sisters at the train station. We couldn't find a park so we had to park at the top of the parking building. As we were walking down we saw Emalata walking towards us but her sisters were already walking into Sylvia Park.

Finally we entered the Hoyt's Cinema and first we checked what time was the earliest time to watch 'Eclipse', it was 1:00pm and when I looked at the time it was only 12:00pm so we brought our tickets and our food. I got a Twilight Eclipse combo, my Mum and Dad got a large drink and popcorn and my little sister got a Toy Story 3 combo with two chocolate ice creams, 1 for me and 1 for my little sister. Next we went and sat down and waited for the movie to start.

Soon we went into the cinema which was right at the end. When we entered the movie it hadn't started yet.

When the movie started my little sister enjoyed it but when it got to the middle my sister got scared and was covering her ears and wanted another ice cream, so my mum went and got my sister and I a mint ice cream.

At the end of the movie we were walking to the car park and my popcorn flew everywhere, which made a huge mess. I hope we go to the movies again, it was awesome.
