Netbook persuadesive writing

Net-book is not a great tool for learning.

Net-books are a massive distraction. We students have a lot of interest in Internet and sometime we use it inappropriately

Their are a lot of bad uses for a net-book . People can go on You-tube, games, face book, downloading e.t.c
However on the Internet people can cyber-bullying and it can lead to a terrible ending.

Also when using the Internet you can correct spelling mistakes. I don’t find this tool effective on our our learning. Also I think the Internet is very tempting by going on to other sites that we are not allowed on or that are inappropriate. Another reason when we are disconnected it wastes more of our learning time.

Also in our maths our net-books has a calculator installed in our net-book so people can go straight to their calculator and cheat and then they put in the wrong group and is not able to complete his/her work.

Obviously I think that Notebook's are not a great tool for learning and it is not going to help us achieve our goals that much.

Sinking and floating

This is our new topic Sinking and floating. I have recently learnt objects that sink and objects that float.
Sinking is when you put a object in the water and it automatically falls to the bottom.
Floating is when you put another object in the water and it stays on top of the water without falling to the bottom.

Maths reflection

Today’s maths lesson was one of the best lessons I’ve ever had. Everyone was on task their were people talking but everyone went back to their task.
Also we were learning about measurement. The activity I mostly enjoyed was estimating and measuring our heights. We marked our heights, estimated our own and each others. I also figured out difference between the actual height and our estimations.
e.g .To measure a window we can use a centimeter ruler or a meter ruler. I would use a meter ruler because its easier to use for larger areas. The window is 1m 30cm.

In room 7 we learn about the ascension of Jesus. How he ascended to heaven. We had to draw a tittle page to show who was viewing the book that it was a new beginning of the topic. The ascension is when Jesus ascended to his father in heaven. Also that day he promised to send down the Holy spirit to the disciples.
